Oregon Brewers Guild presents the Stay Home, Drink Beer Virtual Beer Festival

Nearly everything we do these days is online, so why not a beer festival? In response to the current pandemic shutdown of breweries and events, the Oregon Brewers Guild presents the Stay Home, Drink Beer Virtual Beer Festival on Saturday, May 2nd 2020.

Though you can't gather around jockey boxes in a parking lot or field, this virtual beer tasting is more like a BYOB version of a brewery open house like Zwickelmania. Tickets are just $10 and grant you limited access to digital brewery tours and beer previews, education fun and drinks with brewers. You provide the beer, by preferably ordering home delivery or picking up from a local Oregon brewery.

The Stay Home, Drink Beer Virtual Festival is a fundraiser for the Oregon Brewers Guild, which is also raffling boxes of unique beer from breweries across the state

Join Oregon craft brewers from your own living room 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, for the Stay Home, Drink Beer Virtual Festival.

The list of participating breweries is growing, and already includes: Barsideous Brewing, Bent Shovel, Craft Kitchen & Brewery, Deschutes Brewery, Ecliptic Brewing, Great Notion Brewing, Leikam Brewing, Lucky Labrador, McMenamins, Migration Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing, Ordnance, Portland Brewing, Portland U-Brew & Unicorn Brewing, StormBreaker Brewing, The Ale Apothecary, Threshold Brewing and Blending, Von Ebert Brewing, West Coast Grocery, Worthy Brewing and Wild Ride Brewing.

"If we've learned anything in the past six weeks, it's that we have to be able to adapt,” said OBG Co-Executive Director Christina LaRue. “Virtual events may not be ideal, but they are quickly becoming our new norm, and as we continue to see our favorite beer events being cancelled, we wanted to find a way to connect lovers of Oregon craft beer with the breweries they've been missing."

The fest will include live content through two exclusive channels, a private Facebook group and a Zoom room. While brewers can’t come to pour a beer, over 100 breweries across the state are offering delivery and takeout. Find a comprehensive list of options at https://oregoncraftbeer.org/beertogo/

Digital entry to the festival is $10 and includes access to both live channels. Purchase tickets on EventBrite here.  Stay Home, Drink Beer T-shirts ($25, shipping included) and raffle tickets for the Oregon Beer Box ($5 or five for $20) are available here: https://shop.oregoncraftbeer.org/

As the name implies, this festival is all about staying at home. Please abide by social distancing guidelines and drink responsibly.
