Thunder Island Brewing Reopens for Outdoor Seating

A taster tray and a view at Thunder Island Brewing

Cascade Locks, Oregon destination spot Thunder Island Brewing has reopened for dine-in/drinks service on their gorgeous outdoor patio on the banks of the Columbia River. With most Oregon county's approved to reopen for on-premise consumption, the gorge area is beginning to take steps to do so.

Thunder Island is in the middle of construction on their new location in Cascade Locks, and was one of many to recently pivot to 16oz cans and delivery. All of which is still in progress, Order Beer For Home Delivery.

The Thunder Island brewpub is taking necessary precautions in their reopening that minimize face-to-face contact between staff and keep the services open air. Many of these are drastic but forward thinking steps that many more businesses will likely take a cue from.

  • All orders must be placed online, for both dine-in and takeout. You may order from your phone or the comfort of your home.

  • All dine-in seating is outside on the patio with tables spaced atleast 6ft apart. So keep the weather conditions in mind when you plan to visit.
  • Thunder Island has added 6 porta-potties that are sanitized every 30 minutes, so no one comes indoors except staff. This includes outdoor hand washing stations.
  • All staff is wearing face masks and customers are urged to do the same when interacting with staff and waiting for your table to be ready.
  • You must check-in with the host and be seated at your table before placing your order.  You will receive a text to your mobile device when your order is ready, and you may pick-up at the roll-up door.
  • No refunds will be processed if you place your order before being seated.
  • You must have an ID ready for alcoholic beverage purchases. No ID = No Drink.
  • Well behaved dogs are welcome on the patio, but you are responsible for preventing others from petting your dog.
