Eugene, Oregon's Alesong Brewing and Blending have announced four new quarterly beer release: Gose Añejo, Raindrops on Roses, Magic is Real and Coconut Rhino Suit.

Every three months Alesong pulls four new or returning beers out of barrels after months or years of aging. Each has been packaged into bottles for the public and display a breadth of fruit, spices, oak, yeast and malts.

Two of this quarters Alesong releases will be widely available while the other two will be more limited. Many will be excited for the return of previous Alesong hit Gose Añejo and a new coconut version of the popular Imperial Stout Rhino Suit.

“We love making new and exciting beers — beers that push boundaries,” said head brewer Matt Van Wyk. “In the past, these beers have been inspired by food we love, wine or classic brewing styles. But as we mature as a brewery, we’re hearing people have really enjoyed blends we’ve made and are asking when we’ll brew them again. Recreating those lets us tweak the recipes, continue learning, and make fantastic beer.”

The 4 new quarterly releases:

●      Gose Añejo: Inspired by a margarita, we aged this sour ale in tequila barrels and conditioned it on fresh lime juice, lime zest, orange zest, and sea salt. (Full Distribution)

●      Raindrops on Roses: Perfect for hot days, our rosé-style sour ale aged in French oak barrels with local Pinot Noir grapes to create a lovely rosé pastiche. (Full Distribution)

●      Magic is Real: Through collaboration with Eugene’s The Bier Stein, we created this sour ale aged in French oak barrels with raspberries, blueberries, and vanilla beans. (Tasting Room and Club Only)

●      Coconut Rhino Suit: So creamy, coconutty, chocolatey and delicious! Our imperial milk stout aged in bourbon barrels with 200 pounds of toasted coconut. (Club Only - more info at alesongbrewing.com/join)

Gose Añejo as well as Alesong’s first rosé-inspired beer, Raindrops on Roses, will reach their whole distribution footprint, while Coconut Rhino Suit bottles are reserved for their bottle club members and Magic is Real will only be sold through their tasting room and at The Bier Stein.

“We’re proud of all the beers we’re releasing this quarter,” said Doug Coombs, Alesong co-founder. “What I’m most excited about though is that Raindrops on Roses and Gose Añejo will reach cities and towns where you haven’t previously found our beer!”

ABOUT ALESONG BREWING AND BLENDING: Alesong Brewing and Blending is a small artisan brewery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country that crafts unique and small-batch beers with a focus on oak aging and Belgian-inspired techniques, brewing both wild and non-wild beers, using locally grown fruits, herbs and a host of special yeasts and other microbes.  Once the beer in the barrels has matured, the team samples and selects each barrel individually to blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong believes that the final, balanced blend of a barrel-aged beer is much more satisfying than the sum of its parts or each individual barrel by itself.
