JuneShine and Stone Brewing release Hard Kombucha Collaboration

Juneshine Stone Brewing StoneShine

Hard kombucha brand JuneShine has struck up a unique collaboration with fellow San Diego brewer Stone Brewing on StoneShine: a limited-edition hard kombucha flavor with hops and stone fruits.

StoneShine is a product created to bridge the gap between craft beer fans and kombucha fans and will be available in 16oz cans in 25 states as well as direct-to-consumer mail order. Like JuneShine’s original flavors, StoneShine is organic, gluten-free, probiotic, non-GMO, and contains antioxidants and vitamins — all at 6% ABV.

More from a press release:

As a further commitment to the community that has supported JuneShine and Stone Brewing from the beginning, 5 percent of sales from StoneShine will go to US Bartenders Guild National Charity Foundation, advancing the lifelong stability and wellbeing of service industry professionals through education and charitable activities.

“Stone has inspired us from day 1 with their unwavering dedication to brewing the best craft beer. So much of our dedication to quality comes from their leadership in our backyard in San Diego.” said Greg Serrao, CEO and Co-Founder of Juneshine. “We want to break down the preconceived conceptions of what people think hard kombucha is with this collab, and show people that JuneShine is truly a craft brew and not another FMB.”

“We love that JuneShine challenges convention in the same way Stone has,” explained Dan Lamb, Stone Brewing Chief Commercial Officer. “This collaboration demonstrates how similar hard kombucha and craft beer can be, and offers a really unique flavor profile that can’t be found in craft beer collaborations alone. Stone Distributing Co. proudly distributes JuneShine kombucha because we respect their honest approach and we’re thrilled that they chose Stone to cross genres with them.”

Founded in 2018, JuneShine was born out of a frustration with transparency in the alcoholic beverage market. Inspired to make a change, Serrao and Co-Founder, Forrest Dein, set out to create an honest alcohol for a healthier planet. In 2019 the brand grew quickly, with 90 percent of sales done in California. Today, JuneShine is expanding quickly nationwide, available in 25+ states to date, and on track to triple growth this year while maintaining a strong stake in its home state. Halfway through 2020, JuneShine has emerged as the category leader with the #1 selling brand family in Hard Kombucha as well as the #1 and #2 best selling Hard Kombucha SKUs nationally, with their signature Blood Orange Mint and Midnight Painkiller flavors.

JuneShines expansion includes the announcement of 4 key new Senior National Account Manager hires tapped to lead the brand in national expansion who bring extensive expertise from their work at leading distributors and suppliers in the beer industry: Chris Zambukos formerly at Pabst, Michael Prather formerly at AB/Delicato, Jeff Cossin formerly at FIFCO/Reyes, and Elizabeth Isenbartformerly at Firestone Walker.

"The entire JuneShine team has worked tirelessly to get us to where we are today.” said Director of National Accounts, Chris Gheen. “We are now positioned to lead the brand across the nation and couldn't be more thrilled to have Elizabeth, Michael, Chris, and Jeff on the team to help us get there.”

Priced at $5.99 for a single serve 16oz can, StoneShine will be available in select retail locations in 25 states across the country for a limited time as well as online via direct-to-consumer delivery.. Consumers can visit JuneShine’s Store Locator to find where StoneShine is available in their city. To learn more about the brand, visit juneshine.com or follow along at @juneshineco on Instagram.

With no artificial coloring, GMOs, pesticides, or processed corn or rice syrup, JuneShine is less toxic for both your body and the environment. Juneshine kombucha contains probiotics, antioxidants, vitamins, and of course, a good time, for an alcohol you can feel good about drinking.
