Ultimate Guide to Homebrew Con 2018 Parties, Tours & Outside Events

Portland, Oregon is lucky enough to host the 2018 Homebrew Con this week, and there are tons of parties and events around town with Brewcraft and Culmination Brewing kicking things off Wednesday night. For these events, after parties and side events you don't have to be a conference attendee but can still show up for some fun and beers. Little Beast Brewing Daily Special Tappings

Tues. - Sat. June 26-30th 3pm - 10pmLittle Beast Brewing Beer Garden - 3412 SE Division St. PortlandWe will be tapping a special beer each night this week! Animal Family, Dream State, Black Cap, Golden Stone and a new beer release on Friday – Pomme Sour. Our mixed cultured beers give you an idea of what flavor diversity comes from the use of many different yeast and bacteria to produce beer. The brewers will be on hand to discuss the beers and how we employ microflora in fermentation.

Brewcraft USA Homebrew Con Kickoff Party

From 630-930 we will be hosting the Homebrew Convention Kick Off Party at Culmination. This event is free for everyone and we expect about 500 people. The party will be 80’s themed with tons of neon, DJs, giveaways, food trucks, and 5 professional breweries making beers using ingredients available to home brewers via Brewcraft USA.
The participating breweries are Culmination, Grains of Wrath, Breakside, Level, Zoiglhaus, Migration, and Oregon Mead & Cider.
Zoiglhaus will actually be provide wort to 4 home brewers to do what they please with.

BREWVANA Bus Tour: Pacific NW Ingredients

Wednesday, June 27th 9:40am - 2:40pmJoin BREWVANA and Bolt Minister from 54/40 Brewing for a tour to discover the Pacific northwest best ingredients at key locations in Portland. We will do a deep dive into each ingredient at each location with a industry professional to educate us!Stop number one Steinbarts – Portland’s oldest home-brew supply shop, celebrating their 100th anniversary this year! We will discuss MALT- different types varieties how to brew with them, tasting them and experience beer brewed with different malts.Stop number two is Imperial organic yeast, a yeast laboratory right here in Portland. We will get a tour of the facility and chat with the professionals about different strains best practices for YEAST and what makes organic Imperial yeast different.For our third stop we will head over the river to the pearl district to visit Portland’s oldest brewpub Bridgeport for lunch and talk about WATER! A full meal will be included here.Last we will head to LABbrewatory, sister company to Kettleworks. Little Beast Brewing Pomme Sour Release

Friday, June 29th noon-11pmLittle Beast Brewing Beer Garden - 3412 SE Division St. PortlandTonight we release our newest seasonal – Pomme Sour. We picked over 400 lbs of Quince fruit and fermented them for several months with 2 Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces bruxellensis – var Lambicus, 2 strains of Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. The base beer was composed of Belgian pilsner and German wheat malts – 100% stainless steel fermentation. Come meet the brewers and enjoy the Beer Garden!
