Barrel-Aged Beer Advent Calendar Day #14: Urban Family Tessellate Series 3 & 4

Seattle, Washington's Urban Family Brewing is releasing two new beers in their Tessellate series of bottled, barrel-aged, mixed-culture sour ales this Saturday, December 14th. Bottles of Tessellate Series 3 and 4 are available primarily at the brewery.

This is our holiday Barrel-Aged Beer Advent calendar, counting down 24 days of December until Christmas by highlighting a different barrel-aged beer each day. See the previous 13 beers highlighted so far right here.

Tessellate Series 3

Exploding with dark berries and a cherry pie nose, this full-bodied beer features funky notes of oak, a dry finish, and assertive acidity. Matured for 16 months in oak, and bottle conditioned it with brettanomyces for 3 months. 8.2% ABV.

Tessellate Series 4

Fuzzy peach, a punch of bright strawberry, oaky vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon. This beer will take you back to your childhood candy, while still managing to be dry and refreshing. Barrel aged for 12 months in French oak, and bottle conditioning for another 3 months with brettanomyces. 6.5% ABV.

Release Details:
Bottle sales start at 12 noon on Saturday, December 14 in our taproom.
