Portland’s newest beer company Hammer & Stitch Brewing presents a virtual beer and food tasting/dinner pairing event on Saturday, March 13th. The event “Toasts with Hosts” combines a take-home beer dinner with and online virtual tasting with the brewers and guest Nicole Kasten starting that evening at 4:30pm.

The pairing menu and online engagement is designed to add nuance, education and reflection on a set of 6 beers paired with 9 tasting bites and 2 desserts. There are two different menus available, one with meat and the other one vegan focused, both designed by Hammer & Stitch’s kitchen partners at Grand Cru Hospitality who will be on hand virtually.

Hammer & Stitch co-owner/brewmaster Ben Dobler, head brewer Cam, along with Alex Chong (co-owner Grand Cru Hospitality) and Nicole Kasten (owner, Beer Connections) will be tasting along with participants virtually. Each will engage in discussing the beers, food, and perhaps some friendly banter and fun insight and stories from the state of beer in Portland and beyond.
