Burnside Brewing Releases Fable Flanders Red in Bottles

Burnside Brewing Co. is releasing their long-awaited Fable, a Flanders Red-style sour ale over two years in the making. This Thursday, December 21st there will be a bottle release party for this fruity, sour, barrel-aged beer at the brewery with very limited 750ml bottes, snacks and a vertical tasting of their winter ale Permafrost.The fable of the bug and the barrel began when a blend of specialty malts and bull run water were introduced into oak for a long nap. the precocious blend of fungi and bacteria set to work coaxing the flavors, intent to prove itself as much more than the sum of its parts.Fable: A select blend of 24 and months old Flanders Red aged in French Oak.Notes of cherry and currant meld with the barrel’s subtle oak and vanilla, and tie together with the style's signature acidity.Free samples of Fable, snifters and bottles for sale.Live music.3 year Permafrost vertical.SnacksBurnside Brewing will only be releasing 8 hand-bottled cases for sales outside the pub for preselected bottle shops (6 in PDX, 1 in Eugene, & 1 in Bend)Thursday, December 21st 5-8pmBurnside Brewing (In the Brewery side)701 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214
