Groundwork Coffee launches Brewers Series Collaborations

Los Angeles based Groundwork Coffee is teaming up with Portland, Oregon breweries for a "Brewers' Series." Groundwork is launching a series of collaboration brews using different organic coffee roasts chosen by the brewers and featured in a style of beer that's not typically combined with coffee. The series kicks off on December 6th with Stormbreaker Brewing with a special breakfast-or-dinner menu and the new beer.More from the announcement:Stormbreaker has created a delicious Coffee and Cream Ale called"MOCABE Lo Sabe" featuring single origin coffee beans Groundwork sourced from the MOCABE Organic Farmer Co-Op in the Chiapas region of Mexico. This beer has a luxurious bouquet of bittersweet chocolate and organic coffee, with creamy, full bodied mouthfeel from flaked wheat, flaked oats, and lactose. Subtle brown sugar sweetness is imparted by the light roast of the organic Mexico coffee beans, combined with the malt backbone of American 2 row barley. It's balanced with NW Cascade and Willamette hops.As part of Groundwork's mission to help build and support its community locally and globally, during the first week of each collab beer's launch, $1 for every coffee beer sold at that brewery will be donated to Café Femenino Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that funds community betterment grant requests proposed and managed by women in coffee-producing regions around the world. For every MOCABE Lo Sabe beer sold at Stormbreaker from December 6th to 13th, $1 will be donated to the Café Femenino Foundation! To celebrate the release, Stormbreaker will also offer breakfast-for-dinner special menu items on December 6th that are inspired by and pair perfectly with MOCABE Lo Sabe.
