North Jetty Brewing Names New Head Brewer

There's a new head brewer at the helm of North Jetty Brewing. Kirk Hurd brings experience from Payette Brewing and Buoy Beer Co. to the Long Beach Peninsula beer brand. Having been with the team for over a year and a half, Kirk has established a number of seasonal beers and a periodical Kirk 'N Firkin program that debuts new experimental firkin beers periodically on Fridays.More from the release...Effective March 1, 2018, North Jetty Brewing is very happy to announce that Kirk A. Hurd has been promoted to Head Brewer.Following brewing positions at Payette Brewing in Boise, ID and Buoy Beer Company in Astoria, OR, Kirk began working at North Jetty in May of 2016. Kirk quickly established himself as not only a trusted employee, but also as a tireless promoter of the North Jetty brand."Employees of Kirk's caliber are extremely rare," said co-owner Erik Svendsen, "he leads by example and takes absolute ownership of all brewery operations.
