Outer southeast Portlad's hidden gem Montavilla Brew Works is playing with both the light and the dark sides of beer, lager and ale, dark and bright. MBW's latest collaboration is a collaboration with the Multnomah Whiskey Library on a Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Barleywine and they also have three refreshing and very well made lagers on tap and will be doing special $7 flights this Thursday, March 29th, 2018.Get a 4oz sample of all three for $7 this Thursday.

  • Plywood Pilsner is our Spring/Summer lager with a big noble hop aroma, balanced maltiness and pleasant hop bitterness.
  • Academy Amber is akin to a light Bockbier with a smooth toasty and nutty flavor and restrained bitterness.
  • Dortmunder Wonder is like our malt-driven "Korabrau Helles", but with a bigger hop flavor and higher ABV.

"Old Fellowship Barleywine" is a collaboration with Multnomah Whiskey Library and WhistlePig Whiskey (from Vermont!) WhistlePig aged some rye whiskey especially for the Multnomah Whiskey Library and MBW repurposed it to age "Old Fellowship Barleywine" in the barrel for a month.Dry and spicy, this strong ale is rich with flavors of plums, toffee, malt and vanilla. Aromas of dates, candi sugar, ripe red grapes and dried orange peel. Only 60 gallons produced. On tap for a limited time. Come get it!Montavilla Brew Works · 7805 SE Stark St · Portland, OR 97215
