Downtown Portland's great beer bar Bailey's Taproom has announced a lineup of events to take us through the winter. More info from Bailey's below.

10th Annual CellarFest

Back for its 10th consecutive year, CellarFest returns on Saturday, January 26th, with more basement gems!

CellarFest is the last remaining event owner Geoff Phillips curates each year digging up a wide range of styles and this year is no different!

As usual, the admission is FREE and runs Noon - Midnight. The list is always subject to change but here’s a peek at what’s in store:

Nuts of Wrath Collaboration Release

Thursday, January 24th - Be one of the first to taste a new collaboration between Grains of Wrath and Chuckanut! Last month these two breweries collaborated on a little known German style called Kulmbacher Export.

Kulmbacher Export is a strong, dark, hoppy, lager which originated in Central Germany during the 19th century. Think imperial schwarzbier or strong, hoppy, dunkel. We will also be featuring some of our favorite standbys from each brewery.

Saturday, Feb 2 - Be the first to try the Tangerine Farmhouse Ale, a Cosmic Collaboration with Ecliptic Brewing & Brooklyn Brewery. Meet Ecliptic Brewmaster, John Harris, and Brooklyn Brewmaster, Garrett Oliver, who will be in attendance!

Weekly Comedy at The Upper Lip!

We’re excited to announce the newest way to spend Saturday nights here at The Upper Lip!

Over It - A weekly real live comedy show upstairs debuted on Saturday, January 12th! Hosted by Seth Johnston, Over It will showcase some of Portland’s best comics every Saturday at 8PM, with a short open mic after the show. Our first two shows have been a blast and we’re super amped to see what some of Portland’s best have to offer. Admission is FREE!

Hausbier - Deep Cover

Finally, our Hausbier series rolls on in 2019 with a focus on collaborating with both a local brewery and featuring an adjunct from a local artisan producer. Our most recent collab - Deep Cover is now on Nitro in the taproom. An American stout recipe from Gigantic Brewing using Tanzanian & Peruvian cacao nibs from Woodblock Chocolate! Keep an eye out for our next in the series - a collab with Wayfinder Beer and Bee Local Honey due out in March!
