Gateway Brewing releases Mi Vecino Mexican Dark Lager

Outer northeast Portland's Gateway Brewing is introducing Mi Vecino Mexican Dark Lager. The new, darker, maltier, but still crisp and refreshing take on this international-style of lager will make it's debut at the Cruising Gateway Festiva on September 7th, 2019. Gateway Brewing co-founder and brewer Joel Sheley will be serving samples and introducing his latest beer.

Mi Vecino gets its signature amber color from Munich and chocolate malts. Gentle hopping and ample aging give a pleasant drinkability.  At ABV 5.8% and IBU 25, it is the newest member of Gateway’s lager family, joining their Mahogany Dark Lager and Parkrose Pilsner.

“As longtime residents of the Gateway community, I am excited to introduce Mi Vecino at this festival,” said Sheley. “This event brings neighbors together so this is the perfect venue to unveil our new brew.”

The second annual Cruising Gateway Festival takes place on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Advantage Gateway and Gateway Discovery Park located at 10520 NE Halsey St, Portland. The celebration showcases all the ways to get around Gateway - car, bicycle, skateboard and scooter.  It will feature a variety of local businesses and organizations as well as a Car Cruise-in benefiting Meals on Wheels People.
