Alesong Brewing & Blending marks their 4th anniversary with a collaboration with fellow Eugene, Oregon brewers Coldfire Brewing. The Canniversary collaboration is a northwest IPA brewed at Coldfire and released in 16oz cans and draft.

4th Canniversary IPA will be released this Friday June 26th for Alesong Blenders Club members, followed by a Saturday release at Coldfire Brewing. Cans and kegs will be available in Portland next week via Coldfire's self-distribution network.

“We began the tradition of making a ‘one-off’ canned IPA way back on our first anniversary and at our second, we turned them into collaborations with a rotation of our good friends who we admire," says Alesong co-founder Matt van Wyk.

Usually Alesong collaborates with friends from out of town breweries, but with the ongoing pandemic, traveling for a collab is much more difficult. Both Coldfire and Alesong were founded in 2016 in Eugene, and met that same year at the KLCC beer fest for a collaboration pairing. The two breweries remained good friends, but hadn't made a collaboration again until now.

"We jumped at the opportunity to work with our buds at Coldfire," says Van Wyk. "We so love what they are doing with IPAs. It was a no-brainer partnership for us."
